This is a front-end to the Deeproot Plant Base Online web encyclopedia.
It is a useful resource for gardeners and landscapers, with over 11,000 plant records and 5,000 pictures.This "Plus" edition enables selection of plants by advanced criteria, rather than the single name box of the basic edition.
There are 32 choices that can be used in any combination.

As long as some selections are made, then all individual choices are optional.
If used, botanical and common names may be entered separately - all or part of the name, with * as a wildcard if needed.
Others options provide selection by size, colour and growing conditions.
Once the selection has been made, the plant information returned is the same for both the basic and plus editions.

A dedicated data interface is provided for the app, so that it uses the minimum bandwidth possible, usually about half that of the regular web pages.
The database of plants is continuously update and this will be reflected by the results returned in the app.
